Winter is finally upon us. Our bleak weather pales in comparison to the weather faced by our eastern neighbors. However, I for one am not a person who does well in the cooler months. The need for sunlight is strong. I’ve enlisted the help of this fabulously soft textured turtleneck jumper from Witchery. I’m not usually a fan of turtlenecks, solely due to the fact that it makes me look like I have a floating head and places emphasis on my god given circular noggin. It’s a hard life living with a round face; my fellow round faced sisters know what I speak of. For instance, I’ve never been able to have my fringe cut into bangs. Devastating. However, this knitted turtleneck is the exception to my personal dress code. It’s so soft and luxurious, like a mother’s hug. How can you say no to a mother’s hug? Well, you can’t.

Monochromatic layers

Sleek, function and appropriate for almost any function. Monochromatic layering is my go to solution for work, dinner and Friday night drinks. In fact, I’ll be out and around Perth tomorrow night in my monochromatic uniform so if you see me around, come and say hey!

This outfit has been my go to look this winter; it’s comfortable, stylish and functional.

If you find that you’re in need of something new to buy, perhaps due to the fact that you’re wardrobe needs updating, you’re sneakers are about to fall apart or you’ve going a shopping habit which you can’t quite seem to kick and wouldn’t even if you could….Here are some cute finds to warm your soul against the winter cold.

I have been eyeing off these Beau Coops boots for at least six months and while they may be pricey, they are perfect for trans-seasonal wear. These new Senso Tia boots are a newer addition to my shopping cart. I tried these bad boys in the matte croc leather version and the leather is as soft as butter. Perfect for salsa lessons (jk. the guy pal refuses salsa lessons for funsies).

This Child of Wild leather choker paired with these Adidas originals adds instant cool to any outfit. Not a fan? How about these mesh track pants paired with this reversible Country Road Coat, and some Nike kicks. No? really? okay, okay.

Try this: White Cameo dress layered with the I Love Mr Mittens oversize knit. Add the Beau Coops to the mix =YASS!!

I also threw in this Mermaid martini phone cover and Alice McCall jumper to the mix, cause why not? It’s super cute and you can grab both for under $120. Plus, style points for colour co-ordination.

I usually don’t do midriff tops, but I had to make an exception. As soon as I spotted this halter-neck which so accurately displayed the one constant motto I have lived my life by; I knew I needed to own this garment. For those who know me, and know me well; you know I abhor vegetables ( and tomatoes) and anything remotely resembling a salad.

This purchase was definitely a win, and at $10, it was an absolute bargain.
